In the last 20 years according to the world health organisation there has been a 60% in suicide. It is the third highest cause of death among young people in the united states and is the 11th leading cause of death overall. In certain states there has been an increase of nearly 80 per cent. We in Ireland are within the top 50 countries when it comes to this epidemic.
